The 2024 Vietnam Off-Road Car Racing PVOIL Cup Officially Kicks Off

On the morning of November 2, 2024, PVOIL organized the inauguration ceremony of a fuel dispensing station to serve the 2024 Vietnam Off-Road Car Racing PVOIL Cup (PVOIL VOC 2024).

Shortly after, the 2024 Vietnam Off-Road Car Racing PVOIL Cup - PVOIL VOC 2024 was officially launched. A total of 71 racing teams and over 140 athletes, including 25 champions from previous seasons, will compete on 14 tracks with more than 500 challenges over three days of competition from November 1 to 3. The rewards for the top drivers this year amount to over 500 million VND.

The changing terrain challenges the champions

This year, the PVOIL VOC 2024 continues to feature four competition categories: Professional, Advanced SUV, Advanced Pickup, and Basic. With a commitment to raising the challenge level and providing an opportunity for drivers to push the limits of both themselves and their vehicles, this year’s race introduces several new elements in its organization and track design.

The track in the Dong Mo area has been improved by 40%, featuring terrains such as dirt hills, water lakes, forests, swamps, and dry streams, aimed at increasing the difficulty and adding special excitement. Notably, some race tracks, like Track 14, have been relocated, while Track 8 combines the off-road and gymkhana tracks. Additional traps have been added to Track 4, and Track 15 (rally track) through the forest has been altered with sharp corners and hidden surprises, requiring athletes to innovate their racing strategies, upgrade their skills, and enhance their racing equipment.
