PVOIL supports HCMC in battle against Covid-19 pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City has become more complicated with the increasing number of new infections every day. The crisis has directly affected lives of the citizens, especially those with low incomes. Moreover, the pandemic prevention and treatment tasks at hospitals need supports from the community.

On July 20th, 2021, PVOIL presented Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in District 5 one high-flow oxygen ventilator (HFNC) worth 100 million VND. This is an essential equipment for Covid-19 treatment.

PVOIL also gifted each field hospital No. 4 in Binh Chanh district and No. 6 in Thu Duc city 100 million VND and 100 barrels of drinking water. PVOIL representatives also visited checkpoints for Covid-19 pandemic prevention at the city gates, blockades and isolation points in some residental areas to donate gifts and drinking water to soldiers and volunteers.

Earlier, PVOIL has supported charity programs in Ho Chi Minh City such as donating 100 million VND to the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association to arrange 10,000 meals for underprevileged people and those at frontline of the pandemic battle.

The corporation donated 100 million VND to the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Ho Chi Minh City to organize the program “Mini supermarket with 0 VND”, providing daily necessities, helping needy families. Under the program, each household received a ticket every 2 days to buy food worth 200,000 VND in a supermarket.

These concrete actions are sentiments and community responsibilities that PVOIL join hands to contribute and desire together with Ho Chi Minh City overcomes the Covid-19 pandemic.
