PVOIL Participates in the Oil and Gas Industry Safety and Hygiene Worker Competition with the Highest Effort

On October 25, 2024, Vietnam Oil Corporation - JSC (PVOIL) participated in the 10th Oil and Gas Industry Safety and Hygiene Worker Competition with a team of 29 members. This team consists of direct labor workers, including employees from PVOIL’s fuel depots and gas stations, selected from PVOIL Vung Tau, PVOIL Eastern Region, PVOIL Phu My, and PVOIL Ba Ria - Vung Tau units.

The PVOIL team participated in all sections of the competition, including the greeting segment, the theoretical test, the first aid practical test, and the fire prevention and firefighting practical test.

With the theme “PVOIL Connecting to Go Far,” PVOIL’s greeting performance was a stage presentation showcasing the company's activities and business sectors. It depicted the image of PVOIL workers diligently carrying out tasks such as fuel delivery, connecting pipelines, and transporting fuel to storage tanks. The skit concluded with a message highlighting PVOIL's efforts to adapt to the energy transition (with the electric vehicle charging station model) and the ongoing digital transformation trend (through the PVOIL 4U app).

After two days of intense competition with the highest level of effort, the PVOIL team contributed to the overall success of the 10th Safety and Hygiene Worker Competition with the following results: Encouragement Award for the team, Second Prize in the Skit segment, Third Prize in the First Aid segment, and the award for the team with the most impressive stage props.

Through the competition, PVOIL employees had the opportunity to review theoretical knowledge and improve practical skills. It also enhanced awareness, methods, and the operational skills of the safety and hygiene worker network regarding occupational safety, hygiene, and fire prevention. The event helped promote, educate, and encourage employees to participate in the implementation, development, and advancement of a "Safety Culture" and "Accident and Occupational Disease Prevention Culture" throughout the PVOIL system. The preparation and participation in the competition also served as an opportunity for PVOIL staff and workers to become more united, strengthen their bonds, and share experiences both in work and in life.
