PVOIL commemorates War Invalids and Martyrs Day with profound gratitude

In solemn observance of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) conducted a series of commemorative activities to honor the profound sacrifices made by National Heroes, Martyrs, wounded Veterans, and Revolutionary Soldiers in the struggle for Vietnam's independence and freedom.
On July 26, 2024, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong - Secretary of the Party Committee - Chairman of PVOIL's Board of Management; Mr. Doan Van Nhuom - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - President and CEO of PVOIL, along with the PVOIL Board of Directors, paid their respects at the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs' Cemetery. In a solemn and moving atmosphere, the delegation held a moment of silence to honor the immense sacrifices of the fallen Heroes and Martyrs who dedicated their lives to the cause of national liberation and defense.
The day prior, on July 25, 2024, a PVOIL delegation visited and conveyed their gratitude to 91 Mothers of Martyrs in Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City. PVOIL's leadership shared heartfelt stories and expressed deep appreciation for for their immeasurable sacrifices in service to the nation.
Furthermore, PVOIL's Trade Union extended its support to those directly impacted by the war, presenting 68 gifts to wounded Veterans, relatives of Martyrs, and victims of Agent Orange employed by the company.
Throughout the country, PVOIL's subsidiaries and member units, in coordination with the Trade Union, Youth Union, and Veterans Association, organized various meaningful activities to honor wounded Veterans, families of Martyrs, and Heroic Vietnamese Mothers.
Through these meaningful activities, PVOIL reaffirms the spirit of "When drinking water, remember the source" (a Vietnamese proverb emphasizing gratitude towards those who came before). Additionally, PVOIL contributes to nurturing and promoting the noble values of the nation, inspiring pride and a sense of responsibility towards the country in every PVOIL employee.
