PVOIL Announces Leadership Appointments for Divisions and Branches

On November 25, 2024, PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) hosted a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City to appoint new heads for its Crude Oil and Investment & Construction Divisions.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Doan Van Nhuom, Vice Secretary of Party Committee, President & CEO of PVOIL, as well as members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, and staff from the Crude Oil and Investment & Construction Divisions.

Accordingly, PVOIL announced the Decision appointing Mr. Le Huu Hai, Director of PVOIL Ba Ria – Vung Tau, as the new Head of Crude Oil Division of the Corporation, replacing Mr. Nguyen Duong Quang, who has been reassigned to a new position within PVOIL. Mr. Dang Huu Trinh, Deputy Head of Investment and Construction Division, has been appointed as the new Head of Investment and Construction Division of the Corporation, replacing Mr. Truong Dai Hoang, who has been appointed as the new Vice President of the Corporation.

In addressing the newly appointed division heads, Mr. Doan Van Nhuom, President & CEO of PVOIL, explained that these personnel changes are part of the corporation’s regular rotation process. This practice is designed to provide leaders with opportunities to develop their skills in different environments and to meet the evolving demands of their roles. He commended Mr. Nguyen Duong Quang for his technical expertise and notable contributions to the corporation. For Mr. Le Huu Hai, who has grown within the Crude Oil Division and gained extensive experience in various positions, Mr. Nhuom encouraged him to not only excel in his technical duties but also to strengthen collaboration among team members within the division, across other divisions and offices, and with external partners to enhance overall efficiency.

For the newly appointed Head of the Investment & Construction Division, PVOIL’s President & CEO highlighted Mr. Dang Huu Trinh’s extensive experience and expertise in investment and construction, gained through years of holding key positions. He expressed confidence that Mr. Trinh will excel in his new role and successfully lead upcoming major projects, fully utilizing his skills and knowledge.

The CEO urged the staff of the Crude Oil and Investment & Construction Divisions to work together and support their division heads in successfully completing the tasks assigned by the corporation.

Accepting his new role, Mr. Le Huu Hai, Head of the Crude Oil Division, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the corporation’s leadership for their trust. He recognized the appointment as both an honor and a challenge, vowing to give his best to meet expectations. Mr. Hai emphasized his commitment to strengthening collaboration between divisions and offices, improving partnerships with units and external stakeholders, and fostering unity and teamwork within the division.

Mr. Dang Huu Trinh, Head of the Investment & Construction Division, expressed deep gratitude to the corporation’s leadership for their trust and encouragement in entrusting him with this important role. He committed to applying his expertise to drive the division’s efforts and ensure the success of upcoming projects. Mr. Trinh also called for the support and collaboration of his team, emphasizing that collective strength is key to achieving shared goals and contributing to the corporation’s overall success and growth.

That same day, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province hosted a ceremony to appoint Mr. Luong Trung Kien, Chief Accountant of PVOIL Phu My, as the new Director of PVOIL Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu.

Attendees included Mr. Hoang Dinh Tung, Vice President of PVOIL and Member of the Party Standing Committee, as well as representatives from specialized divisions and the entire staff of PVOIL Ba Ria – Vung Tau.

At the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Dinh Tung, Vice President of PVOIL, spoke on behalf of the leadership, highlighting the critical importance of crude oil operations within PVOIL's two main business areas: petroleum products and crude oil. He praised PVOIL Ba Ria – Vung Tau for consistently delivering strong performances. The leadership recognized Mr. Le Trung Kien was a skilled and proactive leader, with extensive experience in various key roles. Mr. Tung expressed confidence that Mr. Kien, with his expertise and innovative mindset, would guide PVOIL Ba Ria – Vung Tau in adapting to market changes and ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional sale of crude oil.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Luong Trung Kien, Director of PVOIL Ba Ria – Vung Tau, expressed his sincere thanks to the corporation's leadership for their trust in appointing him to the new position and to the PVOIL Phu My team for their cooperation and support over the years. He acknowledged the role as both a challenge and a great opportunity for growth. Mr. Kien set a personal goal to work even harder in his new position, striving to meet the high expectations of the leadership. He pledged to carry out his responsibilities with the utmost professionalism and integrity, while fostering teamwork and overcoming any obstacles to ensure the successful execution of the corporation's tasks. Mr. Kien also highlighted the importance of strengthening both internal and external relationships to ensure smooth operations, and expressed his hope for continued support from all staff during his tenure.
