OPEN LETTER
Dear PVOIL Employees, Customers, Partners, Brothers, Sisters, and Friends
PVOIL’s production and commercial activities have been severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic from the beginning of 2020. PVOIL’s petroleum usage decreased by more than 40% in some areas.
However, with the spirit and responsibility for the employees, the parent company and PVOIL’s subsidiaries are doing the best things to ensure jobs for all employees. None of PVOIL employees has lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic. PVOIL have always been striving to fulfill all benefits of employees, especially salary.
Recently, some PVOIL employees adopted part-time jobs which has high risk of Covid-19 disease exposure since they had to have to contact many people and travel to many places. In the context of the complicated development of pandemic, the Corporation believes that the part-time jobs may create a risk of disease transmission for the employees themselves, their families as well as their colleagues.
This may also disrupt of production and business activities of the Corporation, causing disruption of the petroleum supply chain of more than 600 petroleum stations, 30 petroleum storages nationwide. Jobs of nearly 6 thousand employees of the whole PVOIL system could be affected. The “dual goals” of PVOIL in maintain business development and pandemic prevention is also threatened.
Beside respecting the individual freedoms within the framework of the law, PVOIL calls all employees to strictly implement the Government's 5K policy in pandemic prevention, fully comply with recommendations of the Government and the locality at work and home. PVOIL suggests employees to consider all personal actions to protect health of themselves, their family, and the community in order to limit the spread of the virus, contributing to the country's success in fighting against the pandemic.
For the above purpose, on June 14, 2021, the Corporation issued Document No. 3774/DVN-ATCL. However, there are some inappropriate words in statement and the Corporation has decided to withdraw this document.
We hope to receive understanding of all employees, partners, customers, brothers and sisters and friends.
Thank you very much.
PVOIL’s Board of Directors
