PVOIL becomes pioneer in non-cash payment at petroleum stations

Since February 6th 2018, PetroVietnam Oil Corporation has launched PVOIL Easy program offering customers non-cash payment method at its petroleum stations by using QR Code scanning system.
After a period of deployment, the new service received strong support and positive feedback from customers. The payment system operated properly and effectively.
As of May 31st 2019, PVOIL Easy has served nearly 600 business customers under long term contracts. The system helped monitoring petroleum amount that 5,000 drivers of the enterprises bought from the company’s retail outlets. It has processed 203,138 turns of purchase with total amount of 26,692 cubic meters petroleum. Averagely, there is a transaction every 3.4 minutes.
With the existing technology background of the system, PVOIL has been upgrading, diversifying payment forms and adding more functions to PVOIL Easy application. Besides business customers, individual customers can also use mobile devices to pay their petroleum bills using QR Code at over 550 petroleum stations nationwide.
On June 13th 2019, PVOIL and VIETTEL officially signed a cooperation deal enabling customers to use ViettelPay, BankPlus or other future applications of the telecommunication corporation to pay their petroleum bills at PVOIL petroleum stations.
BankPlus which is a VIETTEL service associated with banks helps customers to make financial transaction on their mobile phones while ViettelPay offers payment and money transfer on VIETTEL mobile phone network.
At the same time, PVOIL also cooperated with Vietcombank and is ready for non-cash payment. From June 16th 2019, customers who buying petroluem at PVOIL petroluem stations through the application of VCB Pay and Mobile Banking. With Mobile Banking (electronic banking application), PVOIL opens the opportunity to receive electronic payment with a large number of Vietcombank's individual customers and 15 linked banks of Vietcombank with mobile devices.
PVOIL’s cooperation with leading enterprises in electronic transaction such as VIETTEL and Vietcombank become meaningful when the State Bank of Vietnam is organizing “The non-cash Day” for the first time in Vietnam on June 16th. The event is aimed at encouraging people using modern payment methods while purchasing commodities, services.
The corporation has made steady advance in realizing its strategy to diversify its services and offer customers further convenience while visiting PVOIL petroleum stations. PVOIL has been updated with the growing trend of non-cash payment using mobile devices in Vietnam and in the world in general. The effort has been made to satisfy the increasing demand from customers and create competitiveness for PVOIL in the market./.
