PVOIL leaders meet and converse with youngsters

The program took place on March 4th, 2023 with the participation of Mr. Cao Hoai Duong - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Corporation, Mr. Vo Khanh Hung - Deputy Party Secretary, Deputy General Director of the Corporation, Mr. Doan Duy Cong - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Corporation, and more than 100 outstanding youth union officials and members.

This is a program in the series of activities to welcome Youth Month in 2023 organized by the PVOIL Youth Union.

On behalf of the leadership of PetroVietnam Oil Corporation, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong provided an overview of PVOIL's business performance in 2022, affirming that the outstanding results achieved in the past year were contributed by the young workforce and youth union members.

Recently, the Youth Union has had many movement activities associated with the Corporation's production and business activities. Mr. Cao Hoai Duong shared about the energy transition and digital transformation that are currently taking place strongly, the direct impacts of these changes on PVOIL's production and business activities, the disadvantages, opportunities, and proactive adaptation of PVOIL in the short and long-term.

Vivid evidence has been analyzed by Mr. through a report assessing the development of electric cars in the world and in Vietnam.

Young members of the units also raised issues such as PVOIL's orientation and solutions to develop retail channels in the context of fierce competition in the gasoline and oil retail market.

They also forecasted the time when electric cars will completely replace gasoline cars and questioned whether PVOIL will no longer be engaged in gasoline and oil business in the future. The development of electric cars is an inevitable trend, which also raises the issue of handling personnel working at gasoline stations. The role of the Youth Union in contributing to PVOIL's business activities and the process of digital transformation in the future was also discussed.

They proposed solutions to increase services for customers at PVOIL electric vehicle charging stations and suggested maintaining regular training and skill assessments for employees at gasoline stations and oil warehouses after skill competitions organized by the company. These concerns and proposals were shared, addressed, and assigned to the PVOIL Youth Union by Mr. Cao Hoai Duong.

He emphasized the need for the Youth Union to continue to promote its proactive and creative spirit so that young members can contribute more effectively to the company's business activities.

Also on this occasion, PVOIL Youth Union organized training for Youth Union officials on topics such as youth work knowledge and skills, as well as digital marketing knowledge to support Youth Union officials and members to participate in communication and promotion activities for PVOIL's brand, products and services on digital platforms, starting with applications such as Facebook, Tiktok.

The Petrovietnam Oil Corporation Leadership Program's meeting and dialogue with the youth and the Youth Union officials' training program were successful, with many valuable contents and knowledge presented by the Corporation's leadership and speakers.

They are precious tools for PVOIL's youth to continue organizing movement activities related to production and business tasks and contributing to the development of the Vietnam Oil Corporation.
