Digital transformation among top business targets of PVOIL in 2022

In 2021, PVOIL successfully overcame the challenges given by the Covid-19 with positive business results as financial targets met and exceeded the goal placed earlier.

On the basis of the achieved results, limitations of 2021 and development orientation in the coming time, PVOIL organized a conference to implement the business plan for 2022 on January 10, 2022.

The conference was attended by Mr. Cao Hoai Duong, secretary of the Party Committee, chairman of the Board of Management of the corporation, and PVOIL President & CEO Doan Van Nhuom.

Members of the Board of Management, Board of General Directors of the Corporation, chairman of the Corporation's Trade Union, heads of Divisions, Offices of the Corporation, and affiliated units and subsidiaries of the Corporation were also at the meeting.

At the conference, participants focused on discussing contents related to Decree No. 95/2021/NQ-CP dated November 1, 2021, which and supplemented a number of articles of Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 on petroleum trading.

The meeting was also discussed advantages and disadvantages in production and business and solutions to complete the 2022 business plan as well as solutions to promote market development in potential areas and locations where PVOIL's output and market share have much room to grow.

In addition to important contents related to the Corporation's operating orientation, business targets on digital transformation such as developing number of customers through the PVOIL Easy Program, upgrading and modernizing the pumping machines at retail outlets, deploying mobile application to serve wholesale and semi-industrial customers (PVOIL B2B) and deploying sales application for individual customers (PVOIL 4U)…

Directing speech at the conference, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Board of Management of PVOIL acknowledged and congratulated the very proud achievements of the Corporation and its member units in 2021. Seizing business opportunities and converting them into profits in the difficult context of 2021 was the result of great efforts of the corporation's Executive Board and its member units, he noted.

Regarding the business orientation for 2022, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong suggested the corporation’s executuves to promote the corporation’s advantages to adapt to the State's petroleum regulation adjustments.
He stressed that the corporation needs to prepare to harsher for harmonious development of wholesale, industrial and retail sales channels. Mr. Duong continued to emphasize the importance of applying digital transformation in business activities. At the same time, it is necessary to have an appropriate business strategy in the context of the current trend of energy transition.

Concluding the Conference, PVOIL President & CEO Doan Van Nhuom assessed the advantages and disadvantages of PVOIL for 2022 business development. The Decree No. 95/2021/NQ-CP is an important legal basis for the corporation to develop business plans and orientations.

In order to effectively realise the business goal in 2022, the corporation and its member units need to continue to closely and flexibly coordinate in operating and managing goods sources while continue to promote the linkage and take full advantage of the whole system, he suggested.

Mr. Nhuom believed that the high consensus in the Board of Directors will be a favorable condition for PVOIL to complete the business plan in 2022.
