On May 11th, 2022, the Veterans Association of PVOIL successfully organized the 3rd Congress of Delegates for the term 2022-2027.
The event was attended by Mr. Pham Quang Dung, a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veteran Association, Chairman of PVN’s Veteran Association, and Mr. Le Quang Toan, Vice chairman of the PVN’s Veteran Association.
Representing PetroVietnam Oil Corporation, the Congress also received attendance of Mr. Vo Khanh Hung, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy general director of the Corporation, and executives in the Board of Management, Board of Directors, President of Trade Union, Secretary of Youth Union, Heads of Divisions and 35 officials representing branches affiliated to PVOIL Veteran Association.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Binh Long, chairman of the PVOIL Veteran Association reported the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 2nd Congress, term 2017-2022, and orientations for the term 2022-2027.
In the previous term, though facing difficulties, the association achieved significant results under the close instruction of the Corporation's Veteran Association, the Party Committee, the Board of Management, and the Board of Directors. The unity among its members has constantly helped build the association.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Vo Khanh Hung, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy general director of the Corporation acknowledged the contributions that the association. Mr. Hung said that PVOIL's leaders respect and preserve the culture of the petroleum industry, promoting the spirit of solidarity, gratitude, and discipline.
PVOIL Veteran Association has cooperated very well with mass organizations, Trade Union, and PVOIL Youth Union to implement several meaningful activities in the past term, contributing to the overall development of the Corporation, he added.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Quang Dung, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veteran Association, and Chairman of the PVN's Veteran Association congratulated the achievements that the PVOIL Veteran Association has achieved in the past term.
The association has built a strong team with practical activities. Mr. Dung suggested the association continue to promote learning Ho Chi Minh's ideology and moral example, promoting the organization of charity and gratitude activities, and regularly taking care of the spiritual life of members.

The association was asked to closely follow the Group's political mission through specific programs that PVOIL has built and continue to encourage members to participate in movements associated with the Group's emulation movement of the Group.
The reports presented at the meeting were: "Work in cooperation with mass organizations to enhance traditional education for the young generation"; "Studying work, thoroughly grasping the Party's resolutions, participating in the construction and protection of the Party and the Government"; “Suggestions on draft amendments to the charter of the Vietnam Veteran Association” are the focus of the association's political activities, setting out how to do and the direction of activities in the coming time for the association.
The congress ended successfully. It encouraged members of the association to enter a term with new tasks with many difficulties and challenges. This will be the term in which each member will further promote the qualities of “Uncle Ho's Soldiers”: Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation - Loyalty to successfully complete the set work programs.
The congress elected the Executive Committee for the term 2022-2027 including 14 members and the list of delegations includes 13 delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the Group’s Veteran Congress for the term 2022-2027.
After the meeting, the Executive Board for the term 2022-2027 held the first meeting. The Congress elected Mr. Nguyen Binh Long to hold the position of Chairman of PVOIL Veteran Association, term 2022-2027, Mr. Truong Xuan My and Mr. Tran Thien Truc. held the position of Vice Chairman of the association.
