While divisions of the PertroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) have to maintain production and implement measures to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, petroleum storages implement the on-site sleepover to ensure uninterrupted petroleum supply amid the complicated development of pandemic. In addition, retail outlets of PVOIL petroleum station system are always open for sales; and offer free petroleum to Nhat Tam volunteer ambulance fleet, which carry F0 infected patients to hospital for treatment. PVOIL’s kitchen also participates in supporting the prevention of Covid-19 in its own way.
From July 29th, 2021, chefs of PVOIL kitchen in Binh Thanh district, Ho Chi Minh City cook and offer free meals to frontline doctors and nurses.
Initially, the kitchen serves 150 meals per day. Each pack includes rice, savory dishes, vegetables, and soup. The menu will change according to the ingredients the kitchen gets every day. Accompanying the PVOIL Kitchen with the participation of following units: Gas South sponsored the entire gas consumption of the stove; PVOIL Binh Thuan, PVOIL Vung Tau partially support food.
These meals are delivered thanks to the support from “Ranh La Di” (when we have free time, we go) volunteer group who bring the food to field hospitals in the city.
This activity of PVOIL Kitchen, and its connecting with volunteer groups in Ho Chi Minh City, marking another way of PVOIL in participating in preventing the Covid-19 pandemic, and sharing the love of PVOIL staff towards the community in the days of fighting the pandemic together.
