Implementing the policy of the PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) on consolidating the management apparatus in the direction of leanness and efficiency and being consistent with the policy of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and the current situation of production and business activities, PVOIL has established the Petroleum Technical and HSE Division on the basis of merging the Petroleum Technical Division and the HSE Division.
This consolidation came from the review and evaluation of the functions and tasks of the two divisions that have similar work areas, support each other, and need coordination to improve work efficiency and optimal use of human resource expertise.
On the morning of May 24, 2022, the Announcement Ceremony of the Decision to establish the Petroleum Technical and HSE Division was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Cao Hoai Duong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Corporation, and PVOIL President & CEO Doan Van Nhuom.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Board of Management, the Board of Directors of the Corporation, staff of the Petroleum Technical Division and the HSE Division.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Toan, vice CEO of PVOIL was assigned to concurrently be in charge of the Petroleum Technical and HSE Division. The deputy heads of the division include Mr. Bui Phu An, former deputy head of the Petroleum Technical Division, Mr. Nguyen Hao Hiep, former deputy head of the HSE Division and Mr. Tran Dinh Hai, former deputy head of the HSE Division.
At the Announcement Ceremony, Mr. Cao Hoai Duong continued to affirm the policy of PVOIL in restructuring and streamlining apparatus, improving professional capacity and operational efficiency of the Corporation as well as its member units.
The consolidation of the Petroleum Technical Division and the HSE Division was considered by the Corporation's leaders, in reality, the functions and duties of the two divisions.
Mr. Cao Hoai Duong requested that the leaders and staff of the Petroleum Technical and the HSE Division should maximize their professional efficiency so that the merging of the 2 divisions is not merely a mechanical fusion, but will create higher values in consulting work, and performing assigned tasks.
Assigning tasks to the leaders and staff of the Petroleum Technical and HSE Division, PVOIL President & CEO Doan Van Nhuom emphasized the important role of the Division in the preparation, operation, import, and export of goods at petroleum depots; especially safety and fire prevention in the whole system.

Addressing the assignment, Mr. Nguyen Anh Toan, PVOIL vice CEO, in charge of the Petroleum Technical and HSE Division said that he would quickly stabilize the organizational structure of the Department; together with the Vice-Deputy Division to arrange reasonable and effective work for each staff member to well perform their assigned responsibilities and tasks; demonstrated the role of the Petroleum Technical and HSE Division in advising the Board of Directors of the Corporation.
