Customers buying petroleum at PVOIL retail outlet system can proceed their payments with MoMo e-wallet; they can get refund up to 50% of their bill value on November 1st 2019.
On October 23rd 2019, in Ho Chi Minh City, PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL) and MoMo officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
This is a result from tireless efforts of both enterprises in helping customers to access and experience mobile payment method when buying petroleum.
Accordingly, from October 27th 2019, the program will run pilot at PVOIL and COMECO petroleum stations in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. From November 1st 2019, the service will officially be launched at all petroleum stations of PVOIL and COMECO nationwide.
Marking this strategic cooperation, on November 1, 2019, the two companies will launch a promotion program offering customers 50% bill value refund (not exceeding 30,000 VND, equivalent to about 1.5 liters of gasoline) when using MoMo payment method at PVOIL and COMECO petroleum stations across the country.
In order to proceed payment at PVOIL and COMECO petroleum stations using MoMo e-wallet, customers need to scan bar code provided by staff at the stations.
Addressing the ceremony, General Director of MoMo and President & CEO of PVOIL used MoMo e-wallet for paying petroleum purchased. By scanning QR code, the payment was proceeded in just less than 30 seconds. This proves that buying petroleum by MoMo e-wallet is an optimal form of payment.
Talking about the strategic cooperation, General Director of MoMo Pham Thanh Duc said MoMo has cooperated with several large domestic and international companies. Besides premium services, MoMo e-wallet users have been able to clear their bills 24/7 in every situation.
MoMo's biggest target is to serve the essential demands of Vietnamese people. Therefore, through this cooperation with PVOIL, MoMo has offered its 12 million customers new experiences of using e-wallet for petroleum purchase.
PVOIL President & CEO Cao Hoai Duong believes that the cooperation will quickly bring results, providing tens of millions of customers opportunities to experience non-cash payment method.
The implementation of electronic payment is expected to contribute to the Government's target of reducing cash payment in the economy and help increasing transparency in trading activities.
At the ceremony, leaders of PVOIL and MoMo answered questions related to the new payment service. This confirms the safety, convenience of this form of payment.
Thanks to the cooperation of the two businesses, PVOIL's customers will have better confident on quality of the service, and receive further benefits from the promotion program of PVOIL and MoMo.
PVOIL began introducing PVOIL Easy on February 6th 2018, helping institutional customers to buy petroleum using QR code.
After nearly 2 years of implementation, PVOIL has completed the electronic payment solution. Based on the experience gained while serving corporate customers, PVOIL confidently expands its service to individual customers and proactively cooperates with electronic payment applications.
